Mira App: Inclusive MedTech for Women

Innovative fertility and cycle tracker – a new era for women's healthcare.

How does Mira work?

Mira is a personalised, at-home, lab-quality hormone tracking system created for everyone's unique fertility journey. The app helps track numeric hormone levels and gain real-time data to support every stage of fertility with over 99% accuracy.

My Role

Relying on the UX-audit and Technical Analysis (TA) patterns research, I improved the interface to make users' interaction easy and comfortable. The goal of the redesign was to simplify such complex features as hormone tracking and its data interpretation, health data logging, and cycle monitoring in the calendar.

Mira's design strategy focuses on the best product representation: on the one hand, we pointed to the egg-shaped design. At the same time, we used non-ordinary circles in visual design as a metaphor for women's "perfect imperfection". Cause all of us are different with unique cycles.

Captivative and user-first Onboarding screens
Content-focused

Mira brand ecosystem consists of products, the application and the website. All those components work perfectly together and were built to accommodate the users' needs.

Based on UX research, the progress bar without any units or percentages not only shows the customer optimal progress but also causes an unnecessary feeling of anxiety, etc.

App Store Optimisation

Imagine launching a groundbreaking app, only to see it lost in a sea of millions. In the dynamic world of mobile apps, having a unique and innovative product is just the first step. The real challenge lies in ensuring that your app reaches its target audience amid intense competition.

App Store Optimisation and Design for Mira app in late 2019

App Store Optimisation (ASO) includes many different techniques used to enhance the visibility and ranking of an app in the app stores.

This includes the app's titles, descriptions, keywords, and visual elements such as the icons and screenshots. The whole point of ASO is to increase the app's ranking in search results, making it easier for potential users to discover and download the app.

Updated ASO for Mira app in 2024

“A picture is worth a thousand words,” and this holds especially true when users are scrolling through a multitude of apps.

I created appealing and effective screenshots with a step-by-step guide through Mira. Pointedly, started with the most impactful screenshots by highlighting key features and social proofs.

Later, I optimised 6+ screenshots to increase the conversion rate (CR), compared with the variant with a smaller number of assets. Less is more.
